Having raised my family in Germany I am now living in England and have been teaching the World War Two topic in schools for more than 10 years.

With a unique perspective of this period gained from personal family experiences of growing up in the 1930’s and 1940's. I developed a close bond to this period, with my father serving in the Royal Navy, mother in the German Luftwaffe, uncle as a guard to Adolf Hitler in the Reich's Chancellery in Berlin and grandfather serving as chief of German police in occupied France.

I am now taking my family's experience on the road visiting schools teaching WW2 that fits into the national curriculum for key stages 2, 3 and 4.
